Korea
Tourism Organizations from various countries, especially Philippines, are
promoting Autumn Season in Korea as travel industry is expected to start
operating again in the later months of this year. Travelers from all over the
world start to book hotel accommodation and airline tickets for the hope to
experience autumn and winter season in Korea this year 2021. All thanks to the
easing of social distancing rules and increasing number of people being
vaccinated.
However, with
the recent increase of COVID19 cases especially in the Incheon and Gyeonggi
province, hotels and airline companies worry as clients start to cancel reservations
as the government has implemented Level 4 on social distancing rules, the
toughest one. Aside from that, gatherings after 6 pm are also prohibited. These
are the effort of the Korean government to help stop the fast spread of COVID19
virus.
Time can
tell how strong this new wave challenging the easing COVID19 situation in the
country. For what it’s worth, I guess it’s not yet safe to go to Korea until
the case starts to flatten and God only knows when. Until then, keep your
passport and save more money so that when travel is safe, you can go whenever
you want, wherever you want.
